This is the first major foam project I undertook. When I started this project all I had was the paint, foam, glue and a hobby knife. In order to get the curve in the shield you need to heat it up while it was saran wrapped to an exercise ball. That way the foam will hold the curved shield shape. (I learned this trick from this video). However, I did not have a heat gun. What I did instead was wrap it on the exercise ball and I left it in a small room with a space heater. After about two weeks the shield was pretty curved and I was able to assemble it.
